What were you doing before Dexters and how did you join us?
I was working full time as a Manager in retail on Oxford Street and came across the opportunity for an Office Coordinator and decided to apply. I was ready for a change in career and wanted a bit more stability in regards to working hours, as I was working mixed shifts. I got a call back for an interview and the process was really smooth, I had three initial interviews before being offered the job.
What is your favourite thing about your role?
My favourite thing about my role is being able to train members of the team, whether they will be joining my cluster or elsewhere. I love being able to pass on the knowledge I have gained over the years to new starters, who are just like me when I first joined the company.
What advice would you give to somebody looking to get into the industry?
I would say go for it, even if you have no experience. We all started from the same place and it just goes to show with the right support and training you can make it anywhere in the company.
What’s the most exciting thing about your role?
The most exciting thing about my role is taking on the compliance side - it excites me in doing a little investigating and working alongside the Anti Money Laundering team. It's challenging at times but it makes each day different as there will always be a new case to handle.
Where is your favourite place in London and why?
My favourite place in London is Richmond, there are lots of places to eat and drink and the parks are amazing.
