About Hackney
Perhaps the most famous East London area to have transformed into a hipster paradise over the past decade. The London 2012 Olympics had much to do with the transformation of Hackney, bringing with it new transport links, swanky developments and improved schools. The town centre is buzzy, helped by both the regeneration of historical entertainment venues and the introduction of hip new bars and restaurants. Away from the busy centre you can find quieter neighbourhoods with strong community vibes; Victoria Park Village, Broadway Market and London Fields are all home to independent shops with friendly customers.
