Dexters Parsons Green opens its doors

We continue to grow our presence in south west London

Due to our continued success and our love of Parsons Green and the surrounding areas, our local experts have arrived to offer you an altogether better experience of selling or letting your property.

This south west London pocket remains one of the capital’s most sought after places to live. Its charming period homes and excellent schools attract both families and professionals, while its leafy streets and grand green spaces further add to its appeal. Hannah Thelwell, Sales Director of Dexters Parsons Green, explains, “Parsons Green has a relaxed, village-like atmosphere, with lots of independent shops, a large number of young families and the River Thames moments away. This expansion will allow us to serve more local clients and respond to the high demand within the property market for sales, lettings and new homes.”

Popular roads in the area include Novello Street, a quiet cul-de-sac with pastel coloured terraced houses which leads directly to Eel Brook Common, and Linver Road, a well-kept street of classic Victorian properties. At the heart of Parsons Green is the Peterborough Estate, a historic conservation area known for its “Lion Houses”, while the streets on either side of Fulham Road are also favoured by buyers and tenants. “We’ve had particularly strong success in the sales market here,” Hannah underlines. “We recently sold a six bedroom house off-market on Radipole Road after receiving five competitive offers within 48 hours.”

Tucked away within the city, Parsons Green offers the perfect blend of suburban living with the amenities of London on your doorstep. Its characterful Victorian and Edwardian homes, cosy cafés and picturesque boutiques create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a countryside feel close to the capital. Transport links are excellent, with the District line providing fast access to both the West End and the City, as well as a variety of bus routes and nearby links at Imperial Wharf and Chelsea Harbour Pier.

Alongside its convenient transport connections, there are a range of shops, restaurants and cafés for locals to enjoy. Independent coffee shop Naive is a neighbourhood favourite for its house brand coffee beans and ever-friendly baristas. Just across the road, Megan’s by the Green offers a Mediterranean menu, with their open kebabs well reviewed by frequent visitors. For a sumptuous Sunday roast, head to Aragon House, a Grade II Listed pub once home to Catherine of Aragon, the first wife of Henry VIII. Japanese eatery Koji is also a firm favourite for its top-quality A5 wagyu steak and expertly crafted sushi. The vast majority of cafés and restaurants on the Lane are dog-friendly, giving you plenty of dining choices without the need to leave your companion at home.

A number of events take place here each year, with Jon Chandler-Gray, Dexters Parsons Green Lettings Director, highlighting the positive impact this has on the area. “The Green is the centre point of the neighbourhood, hosting a wide variety of activities ranging from the annual fair to the beloved dog show. Locals gravitate there year-round for picnics, dog walks and relaxed afternoons in the open air. The calendar of community gatherings underlines Parsons Green’s village-like identity and creates a strong sense of belonging among residents.”
