About Portland Place
Portland Place is well renowned for being an unusually wide road in central London. The street was laid out in this particular way by brothers and architects Robert and James Adam for the Duke of Portland. Georgian architecture dominates the road, but there are also many incredibly desirable 20th Century apartments.
